Swedish Massage

The most common type of massage is Swedish. It involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on the topmost layers of muscles. This is also combined with movement of the joints. By relieving muscle tension, a Swedish massage therapy can be both relaxing and energizing. It may even help after an injury!

Deep Tissue Massage

Deep tissue massage uses slow strokes and deep finger pressure to relieve tension from the deepest layers of your muscles and connective tissues. It is a good option if you have chronic muscle problems, such as soreness, pain, injury, or imbalance. It is also really good for anxiety.

Reflexology

Combines hand, thumb, and finger techniques to stimulate certain areas of the feet, hands and ears. The theory is that energy pathways within the body can become blocked, causing illness, tension, soreness, etc. When reflexology is applied, those pathways are opened, allowing positive energy to flow to the affected organ. This modality promotes health and well-being.

Myofascial Release

Treats skeletal muscle immobility and pain by relaxing contracted muscles, improving blood and lymphatic circulation, and increasing the stretch reflex in muscle tissue. Fascia is thin connective tissue that wraps and holds the structures in the body, including muscles. When muscle or other soft tissue become restricted, due to disease, trauma, overuse or inactivity, the result is pain, tense muscles, and reduced blood flow.

Trigger Point Massage

Focuses on relieving trigger points in specific areas called muscle knots. Sometimes, areas of tightness in the muscle tissues, known as trigger points, can cause pain in other parts of the body. TPM can help reduce pain, and help muscles function properly again.
